Koal was our pick puppy from our Aero & Xera litter born July 14, 2004. This boy is one of our young hopefuls! When we did the Pat Hasting puppy evaluations, Vollard temperment testing and also using the Mel Fishback's puppy selection method, Koal clearly was the boy to keep. In the show ring Koal flew to his Canadian Championship from the puppy classes at 10 months of age including many group placements (including his first at 9 months of age) and multiple puppy in group wins! Koal has shown to be a very versatile dog, completing his pre-novice obedience title also as a puppy. Koal has made us proud by qualifying and scoring a 193 on his first weekend out trialing from the Novice class!! He also placed 4th out of 12 entries for the highest scoring in the Novice class!! Koal finished his CD title in July'06 with TWO HIGH IN CLASS wins with scores of 191.5 and 193.5, with a large number of class entries!!!!
On the trails Koal proves again his versatility, this dog was born to lead! Althought he still has a lot of learning to do, Koal learns quickly and keeps his focus on the tasks ahead. He is truly a dream to own and showing us that a Malamute can do it all, whether we place the harness, training collar or show lead, he never is once confused and does the tasks with ease. Koal has achieved his backpacking title on Nov 23/05 in short time with two 20 + miles hikes. Koal finished his requirements for his WTD in three runs with ease on Dec 19/06.
Koal also earned his CGN (Canine Good Neighbor) at 6 months of age. We are looking forward to what the future holds for this young male. At only 2.5 years of age, Koal has achieved SIX titles!! And he surprises us again by going BEST IN SHOW on his first show back since finished his championship as a puppy!! I'm very proud of him!!! Most of all, he is a wonderful companion and a joy to own!!
